~ Wool Season ~

Weather is slightly turning into cooler and wet again, what I like! Besides it means that time for more handcrafts are ahead. The hot days we had recently were not really inviting to have heavy wool in hands...DaWanda turned out to be a real treasure box for me, too! As I am not a too big fan of crocheting I bought this cotton flowers from a lady in Cologne. They make a new rainbow-flower-scarf and it will get another row, so that it is really useful in cooler days and not just decoration. YYYYYYYY
Wool has been dyed and out came this beautiful seagreen colour! Warm and soft from local sheep!
This is a 100% Alpacca; unusual colour, but why not...
I never imagined that all chocolate variations are bestsellers... ö lovely Sunday to all!
And don't forget to feed my goldfish; if you use the curser in their pool, they will come and follow you around!

~ Have a nice Weekend ~

So it is weekend again! We had quite good luck last night: a heavy thunderstorm was raging and caused damadges, but not here....it though remained very sultry all day today...have done not too much except for paperworks and a little dogwalking of course. Leif Gizmo is on the best way to become a little waterrat! We are all sending you best wishes for a happy summer weekend! Hope to be able to do some crafts so that I can show some new treasures soonest possible! Stay tuned...... YYYYY

When it was so hot only strawberries with joghurt made my dinner!!! Mmmmhhh...
Now it is fortunately cooler again and still stormy and straberry times are almost over!
So I can get back to real dinners, but aren't they just tasty?
You can leave a comment, that I appreciate, also here in this blog, but where to do it is hidden and only visible when you click at the bottom of each post. Easier it is to see in my other blog: www.bea-nype.blogspot.com! Wellcome!!!

This is a better shot of my just done mitts....
And would you believe that this is NOT Leif Gizmo? These are Dave and George and I found them in an open picture pool! I was really astonished!!! This is exactly Leif Gizmo!!! Dave is an American soldier in Iraq and adopted the puppy. I well know that this kind of dogs come from the area and Leif Gizmos ancestors do, too. But this resemblance is really quite amazing!

YYYYYYY

~ Stormy Day ~

Today temperature fell, fortunately, from nearly +40°C to +23°C - just MY kind of weather now!!! It was rainy and stormy, so I could open all windows and the heat was blown out of my home. Now it feels fresh again inhere. And I could be creative again! This pair muffettees was embroidered ready tonite. They are made of lambswool, knitted and washed/feltet. The picture though does not show the fine shimmer of the pretty little beads and they look better on the wrist...YYYY

~ Canadian Weeks ~

Canadian Weeks here in town are thru! And it seems it was quite a success. Many artist from all over Canada came over to exhibit. Besides City Hall and most shops were decorated with a Maple Leaf. It was very good to get a little touch of Canada again; it's been sooooo long since I have been there last time.... and although I hardly eat any meat, except fish, I tried a bison sausage during the opening and it was very good! Also a maple coffee, which was great!Various recitations were also offered during the passed weeks in the City Hall, about First Nation, economis between Canada and Germany and other things of interest.
What a good time we can have here in town!!! Some of the artefacts still remain like the sculpture in the lake, which I really like between the water lillies and the ducklings swimmin around... YYYY

~ Charm of the Lowlands ~

ß After so many years I spent partwise in enchanting mountains in Norway, I just rediscovered my nearmost surrounding and the allurement of the lowlands! It is quite the opposite! The passed times I always felt the flat lands to be a little tedious with no challenges; I see it different now and enjoy it..... Y So many lovely old houses here in town and all around; what else can I wish for?!!!?
The people here say: you can see on Wednesday who is coming for tea on Sunday ...
We have been at the beach today! It was just like a small holiday...but bad weather was announced and it is already well on the way...

Leif Gizmo within 1 year!

Y This is Leif Gizmo as a puppy, he arrived here when he was already 3 months old; always a happy little buddy....
....and now: a sturdy male dog, enjoying his life! Y I would rather be one of these Penguins; it is so hot here that it is almost frustrating. We are not really prepared for such warmth! In the western parts of Germany there were heavy showers and thunderstorms, but not uphere...it only hot! Soon all will be dried out and we will get bush fire warnings.... :(

~ @ Roses @ ~

Will add some colour today to this blog! So here are some of the roses that just bloom in my neighbourhood! Lovely, aren't they?
It is too hot for me today to do anything else but blogging. I always think that summer is lovely and I love it indeed....for about 30 minutes or so. After that the heat makes me lazy, sleepy and sometimes I even get headaches. Fortunately we live quite up north, so it is not always that warm! Nevertheless earlier today I was out with the dog in the woods. It was nice and shady, still warm, so just right for a long walk. We enjoyed it. The dog could also cool down in the creek, although most of the water was dried off...
You can't imagine how I long for Fall! This is MY season!!!

Leif Gizmo on Tour!

Y Leif Gizmo enjoyes his life! In the mountains of Norway and at the beaches of the Elbe River near Hamburg Y

Sonntag, 20. Juli 2008

Y My dear Fritz! He did field work together with me and was always by my side!
Vil aldri glemme deg!!! He was born 9. January 1996 in Gokels in Germany, has travelled much in his life; his favourite was to be in Norway! On 4. June 2007 he decided to go over the Rainbowbridge in my arms by his own will, exactly at noon he just let go! We are all unconsoleable...

Y Dear Olly! We spent almost 20 years together. In your last 2 years you even started to travell and - surprisingly enjoyed it! After so many years you grew old and sick and I finally released you with my own hands on 23. March 2007! It took you only 1 minute to walk over the Rainbowbridge... I miss you much...
Y Little Hexe arrived with us on 3. August 2005! She is an original Norwegian Forestcat without pedigree, born in Skien in Telemarken in Norway. Always friendly, coaxy and looking pretty, she gives so much joy and is such a lovely sight to see....
Y Leif Gizmo was born 27. May 2007 in Rendsburg in Germany. His young mum was a streetdog in Turkey, not an easy life for a dog downthere and it was about to end real soon. Dogs often get poisoned, beaten, run over, gasified there! This was also the destiny of his ancestors, but his mum and uncle were rescued and flowen to Germany; his mum already pregnant although herself still a puppy... he is my sensitive giant, playful, happy and represents the type of dog known in the area his ancestors come from!

Please have a look at my other blog www.bea-nype.blogspot.com! Some nice offers will appear there! Enjoy!!!

> My Production > Muffettees >

Here is to get a little idea of what I am producing! I Y mufettees and other accessories! This pair is still for sale! Made of sockyarn and a special silky yarn in lovely rosewood; they are soft and warm!
This pair is quite exclusive: out of tealcoloured 100% Alpaca, the edge is silky NORO yarn from Japan and with embroidery of Bohemian glass beads, wooden and gemstone beads! This pair is sold since long...
Lovely girlish pair made out of OnLine yarn, actually a sockyarn, but definitely too special coloured and pretty to be worn in shoes. With a beige silk rose! Sold!
Exclusive pair made of NORO yarn from Japan! With green glass beads embroidery on the edge! Sold to Norway!
Warm pair of camelcoloured 100% Alpaca; special embroidery on the edges: little red flower beads, green glass beads and others make this pair a real eyecatcher - that's why it is sold already!
Next winter will surely come; so many new items will be out soon! I look very much forward to the cooler season....just love Fall with all its colours....not that we have it real hot here in the North of Germany right now, but the warmth is said to come back next week.
Enjoy your Sunday! Y

~ Homestead ~

I am so furtunate to live in a small, romantic town, just 35 km northwest of Hamburg, Germany
My cutie Hexe, a Forestcat, just got a new climbing tree! She is always nice, friendly and honest. Also she is a pretty sight to see... Y
This is the castle we have in town! There are many other nice, old buildings...will show them later!
Some beautiful roses bloom along the ways thru town now! Aren't they just georgeous?

~ Trim ~ Braid ~ Galloon ~

Some new beautiful trims are out now!
Mostly cotton and about 25 mm large, I cut them in
Meterpieces, but they can have any other length!
Don't they look lovely vintage styled?
